Tammy Gehlert

President
Welcome to the Down Syndrome Association of the Hudson Valley! I am Tammy Gehlert and I would like to be the president of our wonderful organization. I joined the DSAHV over 10 years ago, and started volunteering that same year. I also joined the Board about that time. I felt very strongly about having opportunities for our families and our children to come together, so with the DSAHV I organized social and recreational activities like PALS in the Park and our annual Easter Egg Hunt. For the last six years or so, I have been a volunteer educational coach for the DSAHV, hosting educational workshops and helping parents with information and guidance to navigate the educational system and advocate for their children. For the future of DSAHV, I want to continue and expand the opportunities for our families and children to come together. The DSAHV is a great support network for our families. I also want to strengthen DSAHV’s role in educating parents and caregivers to be advocates for their child/person with Down syndrome.

Tracy Daly

Board Member
Hi again, it’s Tracy Daly. I used to work with many of you, in the past as the Program Coordinator for DSA. I have wonderful ideas for the future, to help our organization build stronger community ties. I have several ideas for new events, play groups, and seminars for parents. Some of you may know my son, Robbie. He is an 12yr old adorable boy that was born with Down syndrome, and has been diagnosed with autism and a visual impairment. He is the love of my life and the reason I became involved with the DSAHV, shortly after he was born. Currently, I breed Maine Coons, and I have been doing this for 8 years. I also recently went back to school to be a home inspector. I will eventually have my own business with flexible hours. I am looking forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones as well ,for years to come.

Ashley Quitoni

Membership Coordinator
I joined the association as a member back in 2012 after the birth of my 3rd child Lucas. Lucas was diagnosed with Down syndrome after birth. DSAHV connected us with so many other families and a support system to help us get through the unchartered waters. I then became a board member in 2015, in 2017 moved on to be Administrative Assistant, and 2018 – present as Membership Coordinator.
